I am a student transferring from another program. Are my existing credits eligible for this program?
Transfer credits from different Miami Dade College programs and even other colleges do apply, but they must be reviewed and approved by an advisor.

Is financial aid available?
Financial aid is available for all lab and non-lab courses based on financial need, which includes grants and a variety of loans. To find out more information on the types of financial aid, eligibility and to apply, visit

Are online, night or weekend classes available?
Weekend and night classes are available, but we do not yet have the option to take classes online.

Do I need to purchase my own cooking utensils (knives, pans, coat)?
No, students do not have to purchase their own utensils or uniform they are included in the tuition.

What is the total cost for the program?
Our 2-year Associate in Science program costs $24,000.

Are there advisors available? If so, will they be general advisors from the school, or program-specific representatives that deal only with the Institute’s students?
Yes, program-specific advisors are available.

How many students will there be in each class?
To maximize student-professor interaction, our class sizes are small with 16 students in each kitchen lab and up to 32 students in the lecture classes.
